AfricaWebRadio was created to allow community radio programs to be broadcast on the Internet and to make them accessible anywhere in the world. This platform is oriented towards two targets: The community radios themselves and the listeners. It will thus allow community radios to increase their level of transmission by making themselves accessible on the Internet and making it easy for them to manage the radio program, put podcasts, music or other recordings online. On the listener side, this platform will allow them to listen to their favorite radio stations from anywhere on the planet as long as they have access to the Internet and to have access to the various podcasts and recordings made available by the radio stations. Also, with this platform, the major innovation comes from the fact that this platform will offer a certain interactivity via the Internet which will allow the radio host to be interconnected with listeners. Thus, during a live program broadcast on a radio, listeners will be able to interact with the host in an audiovisual way through the web platform.
