Seje Palm Oil made by the Indians of the Amazon:
A study carried out on the oil of the Palma de Seje, carried out by the Institute of Food Science and Technology of the National University of Colombia (ICTA), together with Venezuelan institutions, found a high content of omega 3 and 9, higher than that of the oil of African palm, in addition to showing great nutritional similarities with that of olive.
According to research, this Amazonian oil has a high nutritional value of omega 3, this is how the results highlight that "Seje oil has 77% omega 9, while that of African palm has a relative amount of between 36% and 44%. As for olive, it is in the same range ”, explains José Wilson Castro, ICTA researcher in the area of ​​Vegetable Processing.

This palm, which is also found in countries such as Venezuela, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. Among other places, it is native to the Cedeño Municipality (Bolívar), Bolívar State, Venezuela, whose fruit is part of the culinary tradition of the region.
