The Ford Puma is based on the 7th Generation Fiesta Platform. The offerings mean that Ford's latest entry matches boot-space figures offered by some considerably larger SUVs making a truly reasonable offer in the compact SUV segment. With some intelligent Ford engineering aid, the latest Ford entry provides the most significant boot space in the entire compact SUV segment, at 410L, which expands to 1170L when you fold down the rear seats. Despite being one of Ford's most compact models, its newest crossover, the Puma, is still packed to the rafters with tech. The current Puma SUV is located between the EcoSport and the Kuga in the Ford SUV range. Although based on the Fords Fiesta platform, it feels significantly more prominent thanks to a sporty crossover-like attitude and a boot that is roomier than the Ford Fiesta Hatchback. This new Puma is Ford's first small car to employ hybrid power, in the form of a 48V system that powers the turbocharged, 3-cylinder gasoline engine. Although the HRV is hauled around with 141 horses under the bonnet, for whatever reason, the 1.8-liter flat-4 cannot quite keep up with the Puma's impressive fuel economy.
