G-maps develops mobile application for smartphones and tablets with innovative technologies such as augmented reality.
The company develops projects in the following sectors: publishing, environment, world heritage, geomarketing, education, tourism, technology. Every month G-maps’ augmented reality applications register thousands of downloads, via app or AR browsers.
G-maps created augmented reality guides for events such as Fuorisalone (Italian Home Furnishing Trade Show) and Festival of the Internazionale magazine. Also, an application developed by G-maps to promote its tourist offering, in 2010 the Ferrara Province placed second in an Italian national competition for public administration.
G-maps develops apps and advertising services via AR browser - based on image recognition platforms - which can associate virtual contents visualized by mobile devices to printed images (such as brochures, business cards, or real product packaging).
The purpose of this app is to enhance user experience via augmented content accessible simply pointing G-maps brochure with own mobile device.
