– New look.
– You can now use use the phone/tablet wallpaper as the background, including live wallpapers.
– Alarm with soft start, snooze, daily repeat, adjustable volume, backup alarm sound if music can't be played because no internet connection is available. When alarm (music or alternate alarm sound) sounds a short press on the screen snoozes the alarm (indicated by the app with a short vibration), a long press turns the alarm off (indicated by the app with a long vibration). NB! The phone must be turned ON for the alarm to work.
– Sleep timer that fades the audio volume during a customizable 5 to 240 minute delay. As a shortcut you can long-press the play-button to activate the sleep timer with a 30 minute delay. Turn off by long-pressing the play button again or by stopping the music.
– Equalizer with presets (Android 2.3 and up). What presets are available may vary by phone model, manufacturer and Android version.
– Mute button
– Semi-mute function that can be activated by long-pressing the mute button. Suitable for night time listening. Turn off by long-pressing the mute button again.
– Support for controlling the app from headsets/headphones including Bluetooth. Not all headsets/headhpones are (fully) compatible with this functionality.
– If the headset/headphones are unplugged or Bluetooth headset/headphones are turned off the music is automatically stopped.
– Stops the music during phone calls and automatically resumes it when the call is finished. (Android 2.2 and up)
– Better support for tablets; e.g. the interface now adjusts automatically to the screen size.
– Send messages/requests to HitCity.
– You can now send a link to the app (both the Android and the iOS app) with others via e-mail or SMS.
– Links to HitCity Fresh on WordPress and SoundCloud added to the info-page.
– Improvements for devices with low resolution displays.
– Improvements for devices running Android 3 and 4.
– Now adapts better to the various device manufacturers' own, non-standard, color schemes.

Now includes a widget so you can control the app directly from your home screen.

Now stops WiFi from going to sleep while playing.
If the network connection is lost the app now retries for about 1 minute.
The app is now much less likely to be shut down in low-memory situations.
