The description of IPTV Record

You need to have an active IPTV subscription and have the .m3u file you recieved from your IPTV provider.
The recordings are not done by the phone (only setting the schedule), but they are done by VLC player from a computer which needs an internet connection. The reason for this is because you want the streaming and recording to happen from a stable internet connection and not be depended on the phone internet connection which can be interuptted because of a movement of the phone from place to place.
This app will send the recordings info as a text file (using Dropbox sync) to the computer. The computer then extracts the links of the channel names from your.m3u file (supplied by your IPTV provider) per the recordings info and will schedule the recordings using windows schedule tasks. (The recordings info text file includes: channel names to record, start/end recording dates and times.)
The use of this application is very easy. The setup is one time setup and may take a little time, so your patience is appreciated.

Prerequisites before installation:
- You need your own subscription to any IPTV provider and have your .m3u file on your computer.
- You need a dropbox account and Dropbox apllication installed on your computer.
- You need to install VLC player on your computer.

There are 3 configuration steps:

Step 1 - Install this app on the phone. Please allow storage permission access so it can write the recordings info to a text file which will be synced later by dropbox to your computer each time a schedule is set. This file will be saved in this location on your phone: /temp/IPTV_Record/Record_Info-2.txt
After installing the app, please run it once and exit so it can create this text file.

Step 2 - Install this app from google play: "Autosync for Dropbox - Dropsync". This will sync the Recordings info file (/temp/IPTV_Record/Record_Info-2.txt) to the computer. After installing Dropsync app, open it and connect to your dropbox account (first option). Then, choose the second option "Choose what to Sync" (give storage access when it asks), choose "Let me create my own folder pair". In "Remote folder in Dropbox", you can put any location. In "Local folder in device", go to your internal storage and choose this folder: /temp/IPTV_Record. In the "Sync method" choose "Upload only", then save.

Step 3 - Action to perform on the computer:
- Install Dropbox on your computer with the same account as on your phone and make sure the syncing works and the file Record_Info-2.txt appears on your computer in the Dropbox folder. (During install you need to choose "make files local")
- Install VLC player on your computer.
- Download the zip file from this link and extract it to any folder on your computer:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1U4ozRPW6kwMZ5RssNUx42RI-CczPcXNQ
- Open config.txt and you need to insert 3 locations:
a. Full Path of your IPTV M3U File.
b. Full Path Of Record_Info-2.txt file synced from the Dropbox folder.
c. Full Path of Video Output Recording files you want the recordings to be saved to. (You can put your Dropbox folder path so after the recording has finished, you can access the video files from your phone)
[Note] - Please keep the format of this config.txt file. Only change the paths as per examples inside the file.
After you insert these 3 locations, save config.txt file.
- Double click on: "Install_Record-TV-2.exe". (This will set a schedule task in windows which will scan Record_Info-2.txt file every minute and set schedule tasks for the recordings).
[NOTE] - Your computer needs to be unlocked when the recordings happens.
[TIP] - The schedule task is running every 1 minutes, so if you don't want to see the command line window flashes, go to Windows Task Scheduler, then double click on "Channel Schedule Recording-2" task and change to "Run whether user is logged on or not".

After completion of these 3 steps, you are ready to use this app. Go to the Help icon of this app to read how to use it properly.
