He was Director of Collegiate of College Education, Govt. of Tamil Nadu and Member of NCTE, SRC, Bangalore. His contribution in the field of higher education is evergreen and he has represented the Government of Tamil Nadu in the capacity of a Member of Syndicate of Madras University, Bharathiar University, Bharathidasan University, Annamalai University, Periyar University, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Mother Therasa University and Madurai Kamaraj University.
