LIFE Monza

The Municipality of Monza presents "Life Monza", the new app created by the European project of the same name.
The new app inherent to the "Life Monza" Project was born from an idea developed through the project co-financed by the European Community through the Life 2015 financial program. An ambitious scenario, aimed at experimenting and developing a new Noise Low Emission management methodology Zones, or the urban area subject to traffic limits. The epicenter of the studies that have taken place in recent months is the Libertà district: in the district of the charming town of Brianza, a modern system has been designed to ensure compliance with the threshold values ​​of air pollutants, set by the European Directive on air quality.
From here arises the new concept of common protection of citizens on issues related to pollution and its many facets. The reference to the creation of the app was created to adopt useful systems in reducing the impacts due to noise pollution and improving air quality, evaluating the beneficial effects on health and promoting a more sustainable lifestyle.
The app - created by the startup from Salerno WonderLab - is a software, for Android and iOS, designed to inform about Monza Life's activities and results, in order to promote eco-compatible lifestyles and support users in the use of services and initiatives envisaged by the project. Each section of the app includes several modules that present information or interaction tools. The software is designed so that the user is always guided in the execution of what he intends to do and each function is accessible with a few steps.
With the collaboration of users, divided into parents and volunteers, it will be possible to trace a new path that embraces the entire Liberty Quarter. The goal is to lower the CO2 threshold and the consequent noise pollution by reducing the use of private means of transport. The children will be able to reach the school through the help of the Volunteers, who will be able to take advantage of the app by indicating the area in which they will be traceable to make the "District-School" journey. Parents, viewing through the app which are the stops where Volunteers are reported, can go to the pre-established place and leave their children to the Volunteer. A real "Pedibus" that aims to represent a sort of forerunner in the new concept of fighting pollution.
