I am Nermin Gelbal Gökduman,
I graduated from ITU Metallurgical Engineering. I got married after working in the steel industry for 4 years. I switched to the telecom industry. I worked as a manager in Avea and TTNET. By the way, I had 2 sweet daughters. Throughout my working life, I always asked myself what kind of work and family life I had, I would be happier and what I wanted. I realized that health is one of the most important values ​​in life for me. Although I do not have a direct impact on health like doctors, I indirectly thought about how I could contribute to myself and the people around me in this field and looked for a way out.

I thought that I could achieve this goal by producing olive oil from the olive trees in our own gardens in the Edremit region, on the foothills of the Kaz Mountains with abundant oxygen. As I learned about the health contribution and sacredness of the olive tree, known as the immortal tree, I became more happy and started to do more research. My curiosity and passion for olives and olive oil increased as I researched them.

Without wasting time, I became a member of the farmer registration system. I attended the trainings on olive oil production and tasting at Balıkesir University Edremit Vocational High School. During these trainings, I had the opportunity to see and examine the facilities in Edremit, Burhaniye and Ayvalık regions. I transferred the information I gained to the workers working in our olive grove at every opportunity. I made sure they were informed like I did. In 2012, we started in Altınoluk - Avcılar village with 52 acres and 800 trees. Today, we produce on a total of 1500 decares with our 18000 centuries-old olive trees. Our gardens are located on the slopes of Altınoluk Avcılar, Güre, Çamlıbel, Kızılkeçili, Dereli, Ayvalık Murateli villages on the slopes of Kazdağı. In order to obtain the best quality oils in olive grove selection, we preferred Kazdağı skirts that are slightly inclined, constantly winds in the summer and produce plenty of oxygen in the sea.

Kazdağı is one of the places where the most delicious olive oils of the world are produced. The low acidity and unique fragrant olive oils of this region have a different aroma. There are three regions in the world where the best quality olive oils are produced. These are Edremit Bay, Mount Ida foothills, Italy Toscana and Greece Crete regions.

NerminHanım Olive Grove, our first corporate brand for cold-pressed olive oils we produce, won national and international awards. These awards motivated us even more.
