Rádio Brasil Caipira

Luiz Soares da Rocha is a teacher, writer, composer, producer, director, broadcaster and radio and TV show host. Creator of the Brasil Caipira Program and presenter of the attraction since its creation (1992) until the present date.

Born in the city of Philadelphia, raised in Porto Nacional, both at the time, state of Goiás, currently Tocantins.
He had a poor childhood, early on he started working as a shoeshine boy and mango seller on a ferry in Porto Nacional.

He moved to Brasília on 5/1/1978, worked as a bus conductor, managed to graduate as a math teacher. He taught, took up the position of school director, then municipal secretary of Planaltina de Goiás.

Working at Radiobrás, one day he told his boss that he was capable of producing a one-hour program about country music.
Time passed before her boss suggested she take a team and do an experimental program. It was so good that 35 years have passed. For about 22 years “Climate Farm Program” and for 13 years “Brasil Caipira”.

He lives in the city of Formosa – GO, 85 km from Brasília.

Luiz Rocha also made, for several years, a radio show in the early hours, with a large audience, with the listener participating by making a phone call, asking for the country music and offering it to friends.

Teacher, poet, producer and TV presenter, radio broadcaster, researcher and scholar of country music, writer has published several books, composer of country music, winner of the golden rooster at the festival of Ituiutaba – MG, with the song “Violeiro de Deus” in honor of Tião Carreiro.

Luiz Rocha, was decorated by the City Council of the State of São Paulo with the medal “Salva de Prata”. Event that takes place every year to celebrate the anniversary of the Brasil Caipira Program.

Luiz Soares da Rocha has a long trajectory and great experience as a presenter in radio and television programs, with successful passages in different stations, always having the caipira universe as a primary source for his performance.

As a presenter, he has worked in creation, production and direction for programs on channels such as TV Cultura de Planaltina, TV Brasília, TV Bandeirantes – DF, TV Record – DF/GO, TV Brasil Central – GO, Canal do Boi, TV Aparecida, TV Camera , TV Brasil and currently TV Escola.

It is noteworthy that the universe of country music has peculiar characteristics that are little known to individuals outside of this milieu. The presence of Luiz Rocha in the Brasil Caipira project, a figure who circulates right in the middle of the caipira, is a facilitator for the execution of the project and for the achievement of the production objectives. Luiz Rocha has been presenting the attraction for over 25 years and over that time, he has created a national network of relationships with important figures in the field, which contributes to the dissemination in the field of music and country guitar.
