SmartMMI

In the SmartMMI research project, we are testing the future of passenger information in public transport. Five project partners from industry and research have developed this app and an intelligent light rail window (SmartWindow) - a semi-transparent display that is now being tested in a vehicle in the KVV.

A SmartWindow is currently running in a light rail vehicle operated by Karlsruhe Transport Authority: a semi-transparent window that doubles as an information display! With this app you can make travel requests and save your favorite routes with public transport (bus & train). The app can be used together with the SmartWindow. You can transfer your connection from the mobile phone to the window - or conveniently look for a connection on the window and take it with you on the mobile phone. Never miss an exit again! The app can remind you when to get off.
