Ranking of Websites of Insurance Companies
To ensure the websites of Insurance Companies are updated with information on PMFBY and easy navigation is ensured for the content through their websites, the Ministry decided to rank their websites on a quarterly basis. The first of such an assessment was done for the quarter ended during September 2018.

The websites were evaluated based on six parameters - Visibility of the Scheme in the respective website, Information about the Scheme, Scale of information about the Scheme, Data, ease of navigation and provisions for grievance redressal

Based on the evaluation for the quarter ended during September 2018, following ranking is declared. The next evaluation will be conducted during Jan 2019 for the quarter ending Dec 2018

Insurance Company:
Empanelment of Insurance Companies and their participation for implementation of the Scheme
(PMFBY) will imply their acceptance of all provisions, modalities and guidelines of the Scheme. The
empanelled Insurance Companies have to deploy requisite infrastructure and resources for
implementation of PMFBY particularly for following identified major activities:
Govt, both Centre and State, will release their share of advance subsidy (First Instalment) equivalent
to 50% of 80% of their respective share of subsidy in corresponding previous season subject to
fulfilment of General Financial Rule(GFR)/guidelines in the matter without waiting for coverage
details for the ongoing season.
