Valyou

Valyou is a service that allows you to pay with your mobile phone, just by holding it up to the payment terminal. Download a mobile version of your debit card in Valyou, and you are ready to pay. The amount is deducted from your bank account, just as if you were paying with your regular debit card. Just as safe, and even easier! So easy that you can pay up to 200 NOK without entering a PIN - if you want.

Today, DNB, SpareBank 1 Oslo-Akershus and SpareBank 1 Nord-Norge offer their bank cards in Valyou. SpareBank 1 is currently in a pilot, and only their customers of Oslo-Akershus and Nord-Norge are able to download their bank card.

WHAT YOU NEED
- Bank account with a Visa card in DNB, SpareBank 1 Oslo-Akershus and/or SpareBank 1 Nord-Norge
- Telenor or djuice mobile subscription and a new SIM-card that supports Valyou
- Mobile phone that supports Valyou (www.valyou.no/mobiles). The app is not supported on rooted devices

GET STARTED
1. Download and install the app and follow the steps to order your new free SIM card supporting Valyou.
2. When you receive your new SIM card, follow the instructions in the letter.
3. Open the app and follow the steps to download your Visa card. Identify yourself using Mobile BankID or other login solutions from your bank.

Read device state and identity:
Valyou requires to read your IMEI in order to identify and verify that your handset will be compatible with the service

Call Phone Note:
Valyou needs this permission in order to provide customer support calls from your mobile card

Receive SMS, Read SMS, Send SMS:
Valyou uses SMS as a communication channel for the installation/personalization of your mobile card

Precise location (GPS & network based):
Valyou will only use your location for future services, e.g., to provide location based offers and where you can pay with Valyou

Modify/delete/read content of your SD card:
Valyou requires access to your SD card in case of using your SD card as a secure element for storing payment credentials. SIM card is primarily used

Disable keyguard:
Valyou needs this permission to present the payment receipt when QuickPay mode is enabled and if the keypad of your phone is locked

Find accounts in your device:
Valyou uses this permission to identify the Google Account on the mobile phone in which the app is installed

Full network access:
Valyou requires access to internet in order communicate with Valyou server

Handle NFC payment transaction:
Valyou uses this permission to communicate with the NFC antenna that is embedded in your phone to carry out contactless payments

Receive data from internet:
Valyou requires to communicate over the Internet to Valyou servers and for additional web services offered by cards

View network connections:
Valyou requires to check if internet connection is established

Wake lock:
Valyou needs this permission to allow your phone to wake up from sleep mode when you are doing a payment. It also prevents your handset from going to sleep mode while your are paying.

Control vibration:
Valyou requires access the device vibrator, which is used to notify you during your mobile card installation and on payments transactions

Access SIM card:
Valyou uses the SIM card as a secure element to store your payment credentials, this permission allows the app to communicate with your SIM card in a secure way
