The “Luxemburger Wort” has brought its mobile news app up to date. Above all, the current version offers an improved overview of our range of current news, comprehensive background information, multimedia content and opinion articles - directly from the newsroom on your screen. “Wort” subscribers in particular benefit from the new version, as logged-in users automatically have access to all premium content.


All innovations at a glance:

- Most of it happens behind the scenes: We have further developed the app technically.

- Because our users are increasingly accessing our offers via mobile devices, we have expanded the format: The app no ​​longer only runs on smartphones, but also on tablets.

- We have redesigned the app's interface. We can now prioritize messages more easily according to importance or group them according to topic and thus present them even more clearly.

- We have adjusted the appearance of the app to the mobile browser version - that is, we make better use of the space available on the homepage and article pages to make it easier to read.

- A color coding system gives readers orientation with regard to the content of the individual sections.

- Our “stories in large format” come into their own in the new app. Because user interest in longer reading pieces with multimedia content is increasing, these digital narrative forms consisting of text, images, graphics and video are divided into a separate menu item and optimized for mobile display. The same applies to our opinion articles, which are now even easier to find.
