Xinhua Africa

China’s state media Xinhua News Agency established its Africa Regional Bureau in Kenya’s capital Nairobi in 1986. The regional bureau, one of the seven overseas regional bureaus, has 28 local offices affiliated to it. The offices manage news reports covering 47 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.
　　　To provide accurate, timely and inclusive news service, Xinhua Africa Regional Bureau is launching “Xinhua Africa” App, an interactive platform for information provision where users can learn about the latest happenings around them, share with friends and tell stories.
　　　The App is tailored to Africans and tourists traveling in Africa, aiming to offer comprehensive news and information. XinhuaAF keeps users posted with the latest news about Africa, sports, Sino-Africa economic and trade, and development of major African companies and Chinese companies in Africa. It also serves as users’ source of information by offering information including events, movies,exchange rates,restaurants and bars, and tourism.
　　　Additionally, XinhuaAF features “Ireport”and “Iask” where users can be journalists and report breaking news to Xinhua as well as make enquiry for information they need.
