The contemporary lexicon is a general lexicon that includes the linguistic material needed by all the children of the language, and it belongs to the eloquent level of it, that is, which is included in modern Arabic writing in all Arab countries. It is recent in its application of the principles of modern lexical industry in determining its objectives, identifying its sources, selecting its material, arranging, interpreting, explaining, and presenting it to the user. It is electronic where the computer uses a means to present its material.
