Noiseforecast.app is an application developed to provide insights into wind turbine sound level, shadow flicker and noise perception of residents living near wind turbines.

The app offers a variety of displays and information for your individual address, including:
- A 48-hour forecast for wind turbine sound level.
- A 48-hour forecast for wind turbine sound compared to ambient sound.
- A 48-hour forecast for wind turbine shadow flicker.
- A local 48-hour weather forecast.
- A 48-hour forecast of the wind force at the wind turbine hub height and the energy yield.

App users can also easily provide feedback on their perception of sound levels, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Noiseforecast.app was developed by Arcadis and uses state-of-the-art sound calculations and high-resolution weather forecasts from Infoplaza, the company behind Weatherplaza. This is the only application in the world that delivers short-term sound forecasts, taking into account all complex source and weather factors. Environmental factors like the ambient noise near your home are also included in the calculations! In the app you can provide feedback on how you personally experience the wind turbine sound. Your feedback is used to optimize forecasts, to monitor nuisance and to research which weather and environmental conditions cause most nuisance.

We ask you:
- To enter your address in the app. We use this information to provide you with the forecasts for your location.
- For your honest feedback on how you perceive the wind turbine sound. We would appreciate it if you submit your experience every time you use the app, but this is not required. We record the local time and with your permission the GPS coordinates, so that we can check how your feedback compares to our forecast for your location.

- You can use our app for free, without advertising and without in-app purchases. There are no snags. The information page in the app describes what firm or organization offers you the forecast for the wind farm in your area. This is also recognizable by the logo in the upper right corner of the app.
