استدار وأطلق العنان لساقيه , كان يركض وهو يكاد يُسابق الريح التى تلفح وجهه , يكاد يخرج من إهابه من شدة السرعة , والأفكار تتناطح فى رأسه كالبروق المتوالية , من شدة المفاجأة لم ينتبه لركضه نحو هاوية سحيقة بالمنطقة الجبلية التى خرج من الغابة مسرعًا تجاهها عندما رآهم يُطاردونه , لو لحقوا به سيقتلونه , ولو قفز سيموت ! شُل عقله عن التفكير , سيتوقف ويُدافع عن نفسه , وسيحاول الهرب من تلك القرية الظالم أهلها , توقف رغمًا عنه فانزلقت ساقاه بسبب ثقل جسده وهوى ساقطًا بسرعة شديدة , وهو يصرخ نحو سفح الجبل , أغمض عينيه , واستسلم لمصيره وقلبه يخفق بشدة .
