رامش با نام اصلی آذر محبی تهرانی در ۲۲ آبان ۱۳۲۵ در شهر تهران و در خانواده ای با سه خواهر و یک برادر به دنیا آمد و تا دیپلم طبیعی به تحصیلات خود ادامه داد و تصمیم داشت بعد از دیپلم وارد دانشگاه شود و در رشته جراحی به تحصیلات ادامه دهد اما با صدای مخملی و زیبائی که داشت ، به عرصه خوانندگی روی آورد. در سال ۱۳۵۲ رامش به دعوت منوچهر نوذری برای اولین بار به عنوان بازیگر در فیلم خیالاتی حضور پیدا کرد و پس از آن در فیلمی بازی نکرد. رامش بعد از انقلاب در سال ۱۳۵۸ و ۱۳۵۹ دو ترانه به نام های گفتگوی سبز و تهرون را اجرا کرد که شعر و آهنگ ترانه تهرون از خود رامش می باشد و بعد از ۱۷ سال سکوت در سال ۱۳۷۴ آلبوم جهان سوم را به بازار داد و بعد از سالیان سال دوباره یک آلبوم با داریوش و فرامرز اصلانی به نام معشوق همین جاست را به بازار عرضه کرد و بعد از آن فعالیتی نداشته است.
