Tawjihi is the general secondary school certificate exam in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and it is the last stage of school education before joining a university or college. In order to take the exam, the student must successfully pass 9 years of basic education and two years of academic or vocational secondary education or 10 years of basic education and one year of secondary education in both parts.

After graduation, the Ministry of Higher Education converts the marks for these foreign educational programs, into the same marks used to classify Tawjihi students.

Graduates with foreign degrees may not be allowed to compete with Tawjihi graduates in Jordan for university seats

With regard to the system used to convert the results of foreign education programs examinations into the Tawjihi scale, which is a percentage out of 100, some believe that the system is fair and in fact more lenient with graduates of foreign programs
