"Lu Shi Chun Qiu", also known as "Lu Lan", is a masterpiece of Huang Lao Taoism compiled under the auspices of the prime minister of Qin Dynasty Lu Buwei and assembled by his disciples. The book was written on the eve of Qin Shihuang unified China. This book is based on Confucianism, Taoist theory, and theories of famous, legal, Mohist, peasant, military, and Yin-Yang schools. Lu Buwei wanted to use this as an ideology after the reunification of the Great Qin Dynasty. But then the ruling Emperor Qin Shihuang chose Legalism, which frustrated all the scholars, including Taoism. "Lu Shi Chun Qiu" is a collection of pre-Qin Taoist masterpieces and is a representative work of miscellaneous scholars in the late Warring States period. The book is divided into 26 volumes, one hundred and sixty chapters, and more than 200,000 characters.
"Lu Shi Chun Qiu" as the 12th period, the eight views, and the six theory, pays attention to absorbing the theories of various schools, taking Taoism as the main body and adopting the yin and yang, Confucianism, Ming Fa, and the military and peasants. But the main purpose belongs to Taoism. Therefore, "Hanshu·Yiwenzhi" etc. included it in the miscellaneous family. Gao You said that "The Spring and Autumn of Lu Shi" "is based on morality as the target, and taking inaction as the key link". This shows that the earliest commentator has already pointed out the characteristic of Taoism as the dominant thought in "The Spring and Autumn of Lu Shi".
