항곡교회는 1958년 설립 된 대한예수교장로회
(통합) 소속 교회입니다.

항곡교회는 주님의 지상명령인 세계선교에 적극적으로 순종하는 것을 핵심가치로 삼고 있는 선교지향적인 교회입니다. 선교사 파송과 후원, 중보와 돌봄을 통해 보내는 선교사로서의 역할을 잘 감당하는 교회가 되기 위해 최선을 다하고 있습니다.

항곡교회는 다음세대를 세우는 것이 그 어떤 사역보다 중요하고 시급하다는 공감대 위에 다음세대를 믿음의 세대로 키우는 일에 집중하고 있습니다. 교회학교 유치부, 아동부, 중고등부, 청년부에 대한 적극적인 지지와 지원을 비롯해서 다양한 다음세대 사역을 통해 다음세대를 신앙과 사역의 파트너로 세우는 일을 계속하고 있습니다.

항곡교회는 또한 모든 성도들을 제자 삼는 일에 힘쓰는 교회입니다. 세계적인 제자 훈련 프로그램인 TEE(Theological Education By Extension)사역 Extension Center 교회로써 새 가족 훈련에서부터 사역자 훈련까지 체계적이고 복음적인 제자훈련을 통해 성도들을 주님의 제자 삼아 소수가 사역하고 다수가 누리는 유람선 같은 교회가 아니라 모든 성도들이 함께 사역하여 교회를 세워가는 군함 같은 교회를 만드는 것을 이상으로 삼고 나아가고 있습니다.

항곡교회는 복음적인 설교를 통해 끊임없이 교회와 성도들 다시 복음 앞에 세워 복음의 본질을 지키며 성도들로 하여금 복음적인 삶을 살아가도록 격려하고 훈련시키는 일에 힘쓰는 교회입니다.

항곡교회는 지역사회와 지역의 어려운 교회와 교역자를 돕는 일과 구제와 장학사업을 통해 지역을 섬기고 지역의 교회들과 함께 하는 교회가 되려고 노력하고 있는 교회입니다.

Hangok Church is a mission-oriented church whose core value is to actively obey the world mission, the Lord's commandment. I am doing my best to be a church that can serve my mission as a missionary through missionary sending and support, intercession and care.
