荀子

"Xunzi" is a philosophical work in which the Xunzi and his disciples collated or recorded others' words and deeds during the Warring States Period.
There are 32 books in Xunzi. Its views are consistent with Xunzi's consistent opinions. In the first 27 articles, there are also several articles, such as "Army" and "Overview", which may have been compiled by his students.
There are thirty-two articles in the book "Xunzi", except for a few chapters, most of which were written by himself. His articles are good at reasoning, well-organized, well-analyzed, and good at taking examples. Commonly used parables enhance the momentum of discussion, the language is rich and sophisticated, and it has a strong persuasiveness and appeal.
"Xunzi" is an important work of the Confucian school in the late Warring States Period. In addition to Tang Yangsun ’s "Xunzi Note", Qing Wang Xianqian's "Xunzi Collection" collected the achievements of scholars in the Qing Dynasty, and their content was informative. Emphasis on "simple, concise, brief"; there are also Zhang Shitong's "Xunzi Note", Xiong Gongzhe's "Xunzi Today's Note and Explanation" and so on.
