It is a Meccan surah of six verses that God Almighty revealed to His noble Prophet Muhammad, may blessings and peace be upon him, it contains many linguistic methods such as denial and repetition in addition to asserting, where each method came repeatedly in order to emphasize the law of God Almighty and the principles of worship and its goal was to show all the people of Quraysh and the world That God Almighty does not accept anyone to participate in worship with him, monotheism does not tolerate participation, as monotheism is a method and participation is a completely different approach from it, as it has categorically forbade Muslims to compromise with the polytheists in matters of religion

The reason for the revelation of the surah is that the infidels of the Quraysh had asked the Prophet of God, our Master Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, to perform the worship of idols and gods that they worship for a full year. These verses prevent the Muslims from concluding any agreements or negotiations with the polytheists whose aim is to introduce another deity into worship other than God Almighty.
