AMeDAS Widget is a free widget weather application that displays AMeDAS images, radar images, weather satellite images, typhoon information, etc.

Have you ever wondered where it's raining or what the atmospheric pressure is like, in addition to the weather forecast?
If you use this app, the latest weather information image will always be displayed in the widget.
You can also check the weather conditions with images and animations by clicking the widget.
Radar images and AMeDAS images show your current location, allowing you to see at a glance whether it is raining around you.
If you want to display the image in the widget, you can set the display position and size on another screen by pressing the "Set" button.

I'm worried about battery consumption because the image is updated, but with this widget, it is updated only when the home screen is displayed and the sleep is resumed. (under Android 5.0)
Therefore, it does not waste the image update and does not consume much battery.

～Information～
- On Android 9/10/11/12, there may be symptoms such as not updating or not responding even if you tap the widget.
In such a case, once you start the AMeDAS Widget from the application list screen, it will be updated.
・If you place the AMeDAS Widget app icon next to the widget, you can quickly restore the app service.
・There is a problem that widgets are not updated in the standard home application of OPPO smartphones.
If you install and switch home apps such as NOVA Launcher, it may be updated.
・Some of the satellite images (quadrant, hemispherical images) have been deleted because they are no longer available on the Japan Meteorological Agency website.
"Please use the global image."
・In Android 4.4.2, an OS bug has been confirmed that prevents updates from being performed correctly.
We recommend updating to Android 4.4.3 if it is possible.
If you cannot update, you can alleviate the symptoms by installing and starting a separate plug-in application called ServiceKeeper.
・If the widget is not updated or the load is high, please try the following methods.
Method 1. Tap the widget, press Set and press the OK button
　Method 2. If the app does not start when you tap the widget, start the AMeDAS widget from the app list screen
Method 3. Delete the widget once and place it again
Method 4. After uninstalling the app and restarting the device, install the app again and rearrange the widgets
　Method 5. Disable task killer apps
- You may not be able to update if you are using a screen lock app. If there is a screen lock application that cannot be updated, please let us know the application name so that we can register it.

○How to use
After installing this app, please add a widget by one of the methods.
A. Press and hold an empty space on the home screen, select Add Widget from the menu, and add an AMeDAS widget of your desired size.
B. Open the application list screen, tap the widget tab, and add an AMeDAS widget of your preferred size
(In addition, the method of arranging widgets differs depending on the manufacturer and home application. Please check the manual for details.)
After displaying your favorite image on the app screen and tapping "Set", you can change the display position and size by dragging or pinching out on the map.
You can also change the size of the display range with the scaling button on the lower right.
Press the OK button and the widget will be placed on your home screen.

○About permissions
　In order to avoid unnecessary internet access, this app updates only when the home app or screen lock app is displayed.
Therefore, the permission "Get running application" is required to get the name of those applications and to get whether they are running or not.
In addition, radar images and AMeDAS images can display your position, and you need the authority of "approximate position information (network base station)" to obtain position information.


○About the menu button
"There are rare models where the menu button does not appear." If you are using such a model, you can bring up the menu by pressing and holding the back button.
Also, you can always display the menu button by selecting "Show back button" from the menu.
