Община Омуртаг е разположена в Североизточна България и е една от съставните общини на област Търговище.Общината е разположена в южната част на област Търговище. С площта си от 400,831 km2 заема 4-то място сред 5-те общините на областта, което съставлява 14,79% от територията на областта.
