سوره یس (خوانده می‌شود سوره یاسین) سی و ششمین سوره و از سوره‌های مکی قرآن که در جزء ۲۲ و ۲۳ قرآن جای گرفته است. این سوره چون با حروف مُقَطَّعهٔ «یاء و سین» آغاز شده، به این نام مشهور است. طبق روایات، سوره یس یکی از بافضیلت‌ترین سوره‌های قرآن است، تا آنجا که قلب قرآن لقب گرفته است. سوره یس به سه اصل دین توحید، نبوت و معاد می‌پردازد و درباره زنده‌شدن مردگان و سخن‌گفتن اعضای بدن در قیامت سخن می‌گوید. همچنین داستان اصحاب قریه و مؤمن آل‌یس در این سوره آمده است.

در روایات، فضایل زیادی برای قرائت سوره یس بیان شده است؛ از جمله از امام صادق(ع) نقل شده است هر کس آن را قبل از خواب یا پیش از غروب بخواند، در تمام طول روز محفوظ و پُرروزی خواهد بود، و هر کس آن را در شب پیش از خواب بخواند، خداوند هزار فرشته را بر او مأمور می‌کند که وی را از هر شیطان رانده‌شده و هر آفتی حفظ کنند.

Surah Yasin (called Surah Yasin) is the thirty-sixth surah and one of the Meccan surahs of the Qur'an which is included in parts 22 and 23 of the Qur'an. This surah is known by this name because it begins with the letters of the verse "Ya and Sin". According to the narrations, Surah Yasin is one of the most virtuous surahs of the Qur'an, insofar as it is called the heart of the Qur'an. Surah Yasin deals with the three principles of the religion of monotheism, prophecy and resurrection, and speaks of the resurrection of the dead and the speaking of the organs of the body on the Day of Resurrection. Also, the story of the companions of the village and the believer Alois is mentioned in this surah.
