The description of NFC Check

With this app you can quickly and easily see whether your mobile device (smartphone or tablet) has NFC and/or Google Pay. When you start the app, you will quickly and easily see a green or red indicator that indicates whether or not your device has NFC and/or Google Pay. Both NFC and Google Pay have separate labels.

Seeing a red cross means your device does not support NFC. Seeing a green check means that your device supports NFC.

This is displayed in the same way for Google Pay in the box below where NFC is displayed.

You can activate NFC by clicking on the menu in the top right corner and then pressing Settings.

FAQs

  • One way to check if your phone has NFC is to look for NFC printing, usually found somewhere in the back of the device. On certain Samsung phones, you'll see “Near Field Communication” printed on the battery pack.
  • How to check if your smartphone has NFC?
    • Open the "Settings App" on your smartphone device.
    • Go to the search option and type "NFC" or "Near Field Communication"
    • If you see the app showing results, then your smartphone supports NFC technology.
  • Near Field Communication (NFC) is a set of short-range wireless technologies, typically requiring a distance of 4cm or less to initiate a connection. NFC allows you to share small payloads of data between an NFC tag and an Android-powered device, or between two Android-powered devices.
  • NFC is a useful technology for certain functions. But it's not without its security risks. Because it lacks password protection, it's possible for hackers to access NFC data. They can even do this without you being aware of it.
  • Read and write NFC messages: The app offers you the possibility to read and write different types of NFC messages.
  • Download and install the “NFC Easy Connect” app on your Android smartphone. Search for “NFC Easy Connect” at Google Play™ Store. The app may not be downloadable in some countries/regions.
  • Near Field Communication (NFC) allows the transfer of data between devices that are a few centimeters apart, typically back-to-back. Check out this NFC video for more info. NFC must be turned on for NFC-based apps (e.g., Android Beam) to function correctly. Apps. Settings.
