Asep Sunandar Sunarya (born in Bandung, West Java, September 3, 1955 – died in Bandung, West Java, March 31, 2014 at the age of 58 years) was a puppet show maestro in Indonesia. As the puppeteer of the puppet show, Abah (as he is called at home) is consistent in his field of work, teu incah balilahan. He is so integrated with the world of wayang golek that he is involved in that he has received awards after awards, from local, provincial, national, and even foreign levels.
Without him Cepot might not be as popular as it is today. Thanks to his creativity and innovation, he has succeeded in increasing the level of wayang golek, which is considered a village art by a few people. The improvement was done by creating wayang Cepot who could nod, Buta vomited noodles, Arjuna with his arrows, Bima with his mace as well as his wayang clothes which seemed luxurious.
