Rádio Banda B AM 550 / FM 79.3

Rádio Banda B is a radio station based in Curitiba, capital of the state of Paraná. Operates on the AM dial, on the 550 kHz frequency and FM 79.3 MHz on the extended band. It has a branch in the city of Cambará, North Pioneiro of the state, operating in the AM 650 kHz frequency.

The station was born from the initiative of radio host Luiz Carlos Martins to have his own radio station. For this, he bought the AM 550 kHz frequency in Curitiba, which CBN Curitiba retransmitted. Rádio Banda B was officially launched on March 1, 1999 and since then it has stood out for its popular, journalistic programs and sports broadcasts, which in a way contributes to the good ratings of the station. When it was inaugurated, the studios were located in the Cristo Rei neighborhood, from 2004, the station's headquarters were transferred to the Pilarzinho neighborhood.

On June 11, 2018, the radio debuted on the FM dial, on the 107.1 MHz frequency. The radio was already in the process of changing and adapting to broadcast on FM since 2015 and took over the frequency permanently after the departure of Wood's FM.
