Reciter Sheikh Noreen Muhammad Siddiq (1982 - 2020) Sudanese Quran reciter
He was born in the village of Al-Farjab near the city of Bara in Kordofan, where he studied the sciences of the Holy Qur’an at the hands of Sheikh Al-Makki in Al-Farjab Alley, and memorized the Holy Qur’an at an early age until he became the sheikh of students in Al-Farjab retreat. And he was the imam of the most famous mosques in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, including the Great Mosque of Khartoum, Mrs. Sanhouri, and the Al-Noor Mosque.
On behalf of Sudan, he participated in several international competitions, most notably Malaysia and Dubai, where he won its third global award in the Holy Qur’an in a competition with 83 countries. 2nd out of 66 countries in 2006.
He died on Friday, November 6, 2020, corresponding to Rabi` al-Awwal 20, 1442 AH, as a result of a traffic accident 18 km from Omdurman, with three sheikhs who were accompanying him on their return from Wadi Halfa in the northern state, they are: Ali Yaqoub, Abdullah Awad al-Karim, and Muhannad Al-Kinani, so we ask God to have mercy on him and forgive him and make his abode heaven
