The ABC of Animals app:
Every child can learn to read - with the "ABC of the animals app" and the syllable method, this is guaranteed to succeed. The ABC of animals app offers a wealth of exercises for children from the age of about 5 years, which deepen learning to read in a playful way and make it more effective.

The app was awarded the "Comenius EduMedia Seal 2016". With this award, a specialist jury honors particularly valuable educational media. The seal certifies that the ABC of animals app has a high didactic and media quality.

The advantages:

The syllable method is a well-founded concept that has been tried and tested over many years: the colored syllable separator helps all children learn to read right from the start. In the app, the texts are syllabified, which is very beneficial for learning to read:

1. The syllables are displayed in the reading order (left to right). For many children, reading direction is unclear, which can lead to dyslexia (LRS). Security in the reading direction is fundamental. It is clearly clarified and practiced through the syllable-by-syllable display.

2. The children can see and hear the syllables at the same time (with the sound on).

3. The children perceive the syllables as units, both visually (written form), haptically (the syllable appears with a tap of the finger) and acoustically (when the sound is switched on). The connection between the spoken sound and the written image becomes obvious. This makes reading easier and also improves spelling.

4. The reading speed is determined by yourself.

5. The syllables can be reset and repeated at any time.

6. The amount of text is not overwhelming or distracting. Attention is focused on the currently occurring syllable.

7. The display of syllables by fingertip has a high prompting character and thus motivates the playful examination of the text and the German language in general.
The app offers extensive material: The entire subject matter of the first school year is covered in the app.

The texts are read out loud and the tasks explained in detail so that the children can practice with the app on their own - even if they can't read at all at the beginning.

The clay figures Sil and Ben are the mascots and "good spirits" of the app. With their funny, child-friendly nature, they motivate them to practice in a playful way.
