It allows card scanning mechanism for easy payments and not limited to that only, you can also accept cash payments.

You can sell anything that you want as long as it is not illegal & under rules & regulations provided by your government.

Supermarkets can also allow users with the app to perform self-checkouts in their stores, Users can enter the store, pick whatever they want, scan it using the app to add to cart then pay via card and just exit the store without having to queue for a cashier. Your receipt will be generated on the app. This is vital in-case of emergency, not wanting to wait too long, social distancing etc.
