John and Tammy Wright have a passion for every aspect of fitness. Combined, they have over 25 years of experience in various areas of fitness. They don't consider working out as just an option, but a necessity. They know the importance of maintaining your temple (body), so they make changes in their lives to take care of it. They are firm believers that a healthy lifestyle, including good nutrition and daily exercise, creates a sense of well-being that enhances performance in one's job, as well as every aspect of life.

In June 2004, Anointed Body of Christ (ABC) Fitness Center & Day Spa, L.L.C. trade name was established in Washington D.C. and in the State of Maryland. In May 2006, it was formed as a Limited Liability Company in the State of Maryland.

John and Tammy established their business because they wanted to share how important it is to fight the diseases and illnesses connected with obesity. ABC Fitness Center & Day Spa, L.L.C. placed emphasis on the total health and fitness of the mind, body, and spirit.

In June 2009, ABC Wellness & Fitness Center became a subsidiary of ABC Fitness Center & Day Spa, L.L.C. Then in June 2015, they changed our name to ABC Fitness Connection, L.L.C.

John Wright is ABC's Master Personal Trainer and loves to demonstrate his knowledge of exercise science, nutrition, fitness assessments, exercise programming, and instructional techniques he acquired during his tenure in the U.S. Army. He has trained and competed as a bodybuilder for seven years and possesses experience as a dietician in the military. He is a retired veteran with over 23 years of good and faithful service in the military with three combat tours overseas. Additionally, John was Master Fitness Qualified and scored over 290 out of 300 points on the Army Physical Fitness Test. The same skills he demonstrated in the military he now applies to the services provided at ABC Fitness Connection, L.L.C.

Tammy Wright completed her undergraduate degree in Business Management at Virginia State University in May 1996. Thereafter, she completed her Master of Science in Information Resource Management at the University of Maryland University College in Adelphi, Maryland in December 2001. She is now a retired officer with over 21 years of faithful service in the Army National Guard. At present, Tammy is a Zumba instructor and loves to ROCK the stage every chance she gets. She is also an aspiring in figure bodybuilding. Also, she has an AFAA Certification in Youth Exercise Specialist (YES).

In 2017, Tammy was crowned as Mrs. Charles County United States and featured in Southern Maryland Magazine July/August 2017 issue. This was a huge accomplishment for her because she felt the images of the delegates did not look like her until Deshauna Barber won the Miss USA title in 2016. In 2017 and 2018, Tammy decided to compete in another pageant organization and she holds the title as Ms. Maryland US Continental.

When asked about why they started their business, their immediate response has always been, "This is our PASSION!"
