The Brazilian Institute for the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources
(Ibama) and the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation
(ICMBio) provide a tool that, based on the principle of
active transparency (Law No. 12,527 / 2011), allows public access to
information related to the assessments registered in the
Federal Environmental Infractions (Sabiá). In addition to public consultation, the module
whose access is restricted to fines provides a set of information that
is part of an established environmental infractions investigation process (for
example, the fines will have access to the inspection reports, the terms
which document the adoption of administrative measures
arising from the exercise of the power of precautionary police, minutes and opinions
dispatched during the environmental conciliation phase). The access module
restricted to fines, delivers features that enable adherence to
legal solutions that end an infringement investigation process
(payment, cash or installment forms, conversion of fines
provision of environmental services), request the rescheduling of hearings
environmental conciliation, to know the content of the opinions issued by the
Preliminary Analysis Teams, view institutional projects relevant to the
conversion of environmental fines.
