Radio Manque

We are a community radio station in Rancagua, Chile, and we seek to contribute with a critical look at the local, national and Latin American events, fundamentally giving voice to the struggles that take place in our territory and promoting the appreciation of local music and artists. Every day music and varied programs on environment, education, contingency, literature, feminism, entertainment and more!
The name of the station comes from "El Manque", a comic book hero who in 1971 is edited by Quimantú, that publishing house that sought to deliver books at popular prices, as a way to bring culture to everyone. El Manque was a ruthless outsider, with hat and poncho, who only used his fists as power, not like the heroic heroes of the Yankees, his superpower is the same as we all have, but many times we do not use, perhaps out of fear or ignorance . This character moved to different parts of the countryside to combat the injustices suffered by the working class, with which he identified.

Manque is our hero, a peasant from our area and as his name says "Manque" (condor in mapuzungun) will rise through the highest mountains to break the information fence, which maintains the ruling class of our country.
