Revealing the Universe in the Qur'an

The EARTH we live in, isn't it very wide, my brother? And have we ever thought "How did the earth and the whole vast universe be formed?"

Starting from one question, a series of other questions will arise and continue to be searched for answers by scientists. Variety of research that consumes a lot of cost, energy, and time, continues to be done to fulfill human curiosity about the origin of the universe. However, the more research done, the more questions will arise and need more time and energy to find the answers.

Brother, actually there is no one who witnessed the process of creating the universe, not even the devil and his children and grandchildren did.
Allah SWT said,

مَا أَشْهَدْتُهُمْ خَلْقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأرْضِ وَلا خَلْقَ أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَمَا كُنْتُ مُتَّخِذضِِذَِذَِذَِذَُضُِضُِضَِضَُضُ

"I did not bring them (the devil and his children) to witness the creation of heaven and earth and not (nor) the creation of themselves; and I do not make that deceitful as a follower, "(QS. Al-Kahf: 51).

This verse becomes one source of information that Allah SWT created the entire universe alone without anyone's help. Even the universe He created, when angels, demons, and other creatures did not yet exist, so they did not see how the universe was created.

There is quite a lot that explains the process of creating the heavens and the earth and everything in it that was created in six epochs.

إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى عَلَى

"Verily, your Rabb (is) Allah Who created the heavens and the earth in six periods, then He dwells on‘ Arsy, ... "(Surat Al-A'raf: 54).

Allah SWT hinted at some important things in the Qur'an related to the origin of the universe. On the other hand, scientists and scholars also expressed many theories about the origin of the universe. One theory by Muslim scientists and scholars - like Dr. Zaghlul an-Najjar, Harun Yahya, Caner Taslaman, and several other modern scholars - are considered to be the closest to the picture as the Koran informs, the Big Bang Theory.

This theory says, the universe originated from a material that has a very extreme level of density and temperature, then there was a very large explosion that caused matter to split and scatter and form planets, stars, dust, gas, rocks, and everything that exists in the universe. This was reinforced by the discovery of the remaining explosive radiation found in almost all space in the universe.

Initially, this theory was expressed by Alexander Friedmann and Abbe Georges Lemaatre in 1920 AD The modern version of this theory was developed by George Gamow and his colleagues since 1940 AD

The Big Bang theory is based on two pre-existing theories: Einstein's theory of relativity which states that there is a gravitational relationship between all matter of the universe; an assumption called the cosmological principle.

Muslim scientists associate this theory with one of the words of Allah SWT which reads,

أولم ير الذين كفروا أن السماوات والأرض كانتا رتقا ففتقناهما وجعلنا من الماء كل شيء حي أفلا يؤمنون

"And do those who disbelieve not know that first the earth was joined, then We separated between the two; and We make everything that lives comes from water; then why do they not believe ?, "(Surah Al-Anbiya: 30).
