Wali is an Indonesian Malay pop music group domiciled in Ciputat, South Tangerang. This music group was formed in 1999. The members consist of 4 people, namely Faank (vocals), Apoy (guitar), Tomi (drums) and Ovie (keyboards). 4 members of this band are graduates of Islamic boarding schools and some are alumni of the Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University, Jakarta. Previously, the guitarist, Apoy was an additional guitarist for the music group Neutral on the album Oke Deh (2001).

Their first album, Orang Bilang, was released in 2008. The band is generally a totally creative local pop genre with a touch of Malay rhythm in their songs. The hit songs in this album are Dik and Egokah Aku which uses Shireen Sungkar as a model for the video clip. Dik's song, which is a mainstay by incorporating the pop element of love, was recorded to have succeeded in becoming an RBT (ring back tone) for 1 million cell phone owners until mid-May 2008. This became a barometer of the success of the 5-member group.

Success with the debut album, Wali soon released his second album, mostly created by Apoy. Previously, Wali had released a master song from his latest album, Cari Jodoh. In fact, thanks to the RBT single Cari Match, Wali received an umrah gift from his label, Nagaswara.

In the moment of Ramadan 1430 Hijri (August-September 2009), Wali also issued a religious song entitled Mari Sholawat. After releasing their second album, the bassist, Nunu decided to resign and was reportedly working on a project under the guidance of Dewa 19 base, Yuke Sampurna.
