Interpretation has rules and controls laid down by scholars, which Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah - may God have mercy on him - dealt with in his introduction to the principles of interpretation, as well as Al-Qurtubi and Ibn Ashour in the introduction to the interpretation. The second: Taking the words of the companion, it was said: It is absolutely in the ruling of the Prophet, and some of them singled out the reasons for revelation and the like, which there is no room for opinion.

The third: Adopting the absolute language while being careful not to divert the verses to something that is not indicated by many of the words of the Arabs.

Fourth: Adopting what is required by speech, evidenced by the law of Sharia, and this fourth type is what the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, called upon Ibn Abbas in his saying: Oh God, give him understanding in religion, and teach him interpretation - Narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim.

Whoever interprets the Qur’an according to his opinion, i.e., by his ijtihad, committed to standing at these points of view and relying on them in what he sees from the meanings of the Book of God, his interpretation is acceptable, permissible, virtuous, by being called a tafsir, and it is a permissible and praiseworthy interpretation. That the interpretation is not permissible, or the reprehensible interpretation.

And the owner of Manasil al-Irfan says: The interpretation with the permissible opinion must be noted in it relying on what was transmitted from the Messenger, peace be upon him, and his companions, which enlightens the way for the interpreter with his opinion, and that its author must be familiar with the laws of the language
