Ampel-Pilot

The traffic light pilot uses the camera to detect red and green phases of pedestrian traffic lights. Users are informed with linguistic and tactile feedback about the current traffic light phase.

The detection starts immediately after opening the app. Point the camera towards the nearest pedestrian traffic light and you will be notified of the current traffic light phase.

In the settings it is possible to switch the voice output as well as the vibration on and off. In addition, the camera preview can be deactivated here. If this is deactivated, the traffic light pilot will show you the detected traffic light phase on the complete screen in red or green, a gray screen does not represent any detected traffic light phase.

By opening the app you will read an instruction that informs you that this app was developed as an aid. You can deactivate this voice output with the function "Read instructions".

With the function "Pause Detection" you can protect the battery by keeping your smartphone in check and not restarting the detection until you have readjusted it.
