It allows the authorities, teachers, students and administrative officials of the University of Costa Rica to send a warning signal in real time to the Monitoring Center of the Security and Traffic Section.
This alert, if sent from within the university campus, triggers the Emergency Response Protocol, established for these cases. If it is from abroad, the monitoring center will coordinate with the police and emergency attention bodies, as appropriate.
Together with the panic alert, the georeferenced location is sent, and audio and video clips of the emergency can be sent, which makes it easier for the security officers to perform the necessary attention.
