Definition of legal ruqyah The legal ruqyah is defined as that which is read to the sick from the words of God Almighty, which is the Holy Qur’an, and what is read from the supplications that the Prophet’s Sunnah came in, or the permissible and legitimate supplications, and comes out with this definition, which includes the first and not innovated ruqyah. It is imperative to investigate what is performed ruqyah, and to display the ruqyah on the principles of the Sharia, which is the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah, and if it agreed with it was a valid ruqyah, and if it went against it, it was otherwise, and this is what the Messenger of God guided to him, where Auf bin Malik narrated evidence for that, and he said: We were uplifting in Jahiliyyah, so we said, O Messenger of God, how do you see that, so he said: Offer to me your kindness, not the righteousness of honor.
