ANWB Smart Driver

ANWB Smart Driver is the latest Roadside Assistance service of the ANWB. Smart Driver warns you of impending battery failure and technical malfunctions. So before a warning light comes on on your dashboard. This way you don't come to a standstill unnecessarily and you prevent unexpected repairs.

Smart Driver consists of a connector, which you simply plug into your car, and the app. You share technical data with the ANWB via the connector, so that we can predict malfunctions.

IMMEDIATE ADVICE ON ERROR MESSAGES
If Smart Driver detects a malfunction, or if a warning light comes on, you'll immediately get a brief explanation of the problem and suggestions for follow-up actions.

PREVENTIVE MESSAGE WEAK BATTERY
Even before your car realizes it, Smart Driver sees that your battery is getting weaker. Smart Driver tracks the battery voltage when starting and calculates the remaining battery life.

AVOID UNEXPECTED REPAIRS
Smart Driver warns of impending malfunctions or when lights come on and gives immediate advice. That saves unexpected repairs.

IN AN ACCIDENTAL CONTACT WITH ANWB
In the event of a breakdown, the Roadside Assistance knows where to go and often also what the problem is. In addition, Smart Driver will contact you immediately if you are involved in a collision via crash assistance. If that is not possible, Smart Driver will call the emergency services.

ROAD GUARD-CAR CHECK
The Roadside Assistance will come by when it suits you and inspect your car on 15 points, including battery, oil level, brake and coolant, windshield wipers and tires. The results of the check and suggestions for follow-up actions appear in the app.

MAINTENANCE TIPS
You will also receive reminders for periodic maintenance and for checks (oil level, tire pressure) that you can easily perform yourself. Smart Driver helps with this with clear instructional videos and tips.

ANWB APPS IN TRAFFIC
ANWB believes that distraction in traffic due to the use of smartphones should stop. So do not operate this app while you are driving.
