Gema Takbir

Allahu Akbar Allahu Allahu Akbar Lailaha Illallah Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar Walilahil Hamdu. God Almighty. God Almighty. The Enormous. There is no God but Allah. Glorious is Allah and praise be to Him.

Sometimes we are not aware of the great meaning in takbir because our lips are used to chanting it. The lively takbir on television, radio, mosques stirs our lips to join us in following the notes. A recognition that God is great and humans are only small particles of the universe.

We see a universe with billions of planets. Rasulullah reported, the universe is like a dot in the desert compared to the Throne of God. Humans become nothing. Our small earth tells us that humans as inhabitants of the Earth are meaningless if they do not serve the Great.

The sentence takbir on Idulfitri was banned since it could be ascertained the next day entering Shawwal. Takbir is dedicated to the end of Eid prayer. In contrast to Eid al-Adha which was abunned since entering the 10th of Dhul Hijjah (twilight) until the end of the Tasyrik day, which is 13 Zulhijjah.

Takbir is a holy sentence. Some scholars forbid reading of Takbir Id on other days. Some of the clerics again forced.

The Messenger of Allah said in the Turmuzi Hadith. "Subhanallah is half the balance, thank God, fulfilling it. Allah will fill the heavens and Numi."

In the Muslim Hadith the Messenger of Allah commented on the reading of the takbir of a best friend. "I was amazed and the door to heaven opened."

Since then Ibn Umar never read off. Caliph Umar said; "The sentence takbir is better than the world and its contents."

Sentences of takbir (Allahu Akbar), tahmid (Alhamdulillah), Tahlil (Lailaha illalah), prayer beads (Subhanallah), hawqalah (Lahawla wala Quwwata illa Bilah), are readings that emerge from the mouth of the holy. The readings should not be read in dirty, unclean, immoral places that make it lose its glory.

The sentences are always read by the Messenger of Allah, his companions, the next scholars to hone inner acuity. Takbir sentences are also used for travel. The Prophet recommended reading takbir when climbing.

The sentence takbir also appears in the battlefield. Simultaneous echoes of takbir had frightened the enemy during the Yarmuk war which succeeded in driving out Roman troops. Also Egypt, Persia, and Constantinople.

But, Takbir also echoed from two Muslim groups wielding swords in the Siffin War, the Camel War, the Iran-Iraq War, and other civil wars. Takbir sentences should not be placed for persecution in the name of religion.

Let the beauty of takbir fill and decorate our hearts. Let us look at this world of God's creation with love. We are our brothers and sisters whether we are brethren, countrymen, countrymen, worldwide, fellow creatures with affection.

The spirit of takbir is not the spirit of hostility, but on the contrary it becomes the spirit of spreading affection. The sentence takbir must be a blessing for the universe.
