Kitab Fiqih Mawaris

Alhamdulillah, thanks be to Allah, finally we PonPon Media have successfully completed the application of the Book of Fiqh Mawaris. Al-Mawarits الْمَوَارِيْثُ plural of al-miirats الْمِيْرَاثُ which means inheritance. Shaykh Abdurrahman bin Nasir As-Sa'di rahimahullah explained that, the meaning of Mawaris is: "A science of the distribution of inheritance among people who are entitled to receive the inheritance."

If someone dies and he leaves the property, it is distributed to those who are entitled to receive it in the distributions described by Islamic law. This science is also known as faraid science. The science of faro'idh or better known as the science of Mawaris is the science that discusses the distribution of heirlooms or the science that explains inheritance matters.

This faraid science is very important to be known and studied by a Muslim. Regarding the importance of the science of roses, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said:
"Learn faraid & teach it knowledge, because in fact it is half of knowledge, and knowledge will be forgotten, and it was the first to be removed from my ummah." (HR Ibn Majah)

Allah Subhanau wa Ta'ala says:

"God prescribes for you about (the distribution of inheritance for) your children. Namely: the share of a son is equal to the share of two daughters.... (Those laws) are provisions from Allah." (Surah An-Nisa [4]: ​​11-13)

The purpose of this science is to save the property of the dead in order to avoid taking the property of people who are not entitled to receive it and so that no one eats the property of other people, and the property of orphans in a way that is not lawful.
This is what Allah SWT means. In his words:

"And let not some of you eat the wealth of others among you with vanity." (Al-Baqarah [2]: 188).
