Flamengo, is a Brazilian sports club in the city of Rio de Janeiro, known mainly for its football section.

Founded on November 15, 1895, it plays at home at Maracanã Stadium and its uniform is a red and black shirt with horizontal stripes and white pants. Flamengo is one of the three Brazilian clubs that have never descended from the Brazilian First Division, the others being Santos FC and São Paulo.
