Antoine Christophe Agbepa Mumba, known as Koffi Olomidé, born August 13, 19563 in Kisangani in the Democratic Republic of Congo, is a Congolese singer-songwriter, singer and producer. In 1986, he created and directed the international Latin Quarter group which will launch young talents like Suzuki Luzubu 4x4, Bouro Mpela and others who will become African stars like Fally Ipupa. He launched his own label Koffi Central in 2013.
After starting out as a lyricist, Antoine experienced a notoriety in 1977 with Synza, sung in trio with Papa Wemba and King Kester Emeneya. Follows a slack period with vinyls such as Ngobila, Henriquet, Elle and me ... His career saw a second start from 1990 by signing with Sonodisc with whom he would chain successes and experience its peak. In 1986, he formed the group known as the Quartier Latin International, which celebrated its 23 years in 2009 and 32 years in 2018.
