Di Paullo & Paulino are a pair formed by two brothers, in Minas Gerais. As the father had a collection of country instruments, they learned to play alone at home. They began their professional careers in the early 1970s, performing in circuses throughout the state of Minas Gerais. In times when country music suffered great isolation in the main metropolises, they managed to record one album a year, from 1973 to 1975. From 1976, they started to perform in the state of Goiás, in agricultural exhibitions and parties, in addition to becoming attraction in the program "Onde Cantam os Campeões", which revealed several country duo. In 1980, they released their fourth album, Cama Triste and their fifth, in 1982, Solo de Viola. In 1987, they achieved great prominence with the song "Passarinho do Sertão".
