The application measures time, distance traveled, calories burned. Routes traveled are marked on the map. There are 18 activities to choose from. Importantly, the application can be synchronized with the Garmin system. In addition, thanks to the application, you can check the weather forecast on an ongoing basis. The app works worldwide.

An unquestionable advantage of Active Cities is the conversion of kilometers traveled into coins, which can be exchanged with partners for discounts and gifts.

The originator, the city of Bydgoszcz, also thought about an incentive system in the application, where you earn special badges for the longest distance traveled, the best pace, or the highest number of calories burned.

The application is the only one in Poland that allows you to take part in sports competitions in which active local governments are involved. From 2023, municipalities can also join the project. The key competition with many prizes is the Bicycle Capital of Poland, which takes place in June.
