The Young of Metal Attack yang dalam Beberapa bulan kemudian grup ini berganti nama dengan Metallica yang konon merupakan gabungan kata Metal dan Vodca. Nama Metallica sendiri sebenarnya adalah nama yang diusulkan untuk sebuah majalah musik yang dicuri oleh Lars Ulrich sebelum majalah tersebut mendapat nama tersebut.
The Young of Metal Attack which in a few months later the group was renamed Metallica which is said to be a combination of the words Metal and Vodca. The name Metallica itself is actually the name proposed for a music magazine that was stolen by Lars Ulrich before the magazine got the name.
